Help Support Kristen: Along this medical journey!

My name is Kristen (KRS to most of my peoples) I'm a local Artist and Printer out of Pennsylvania and I'm reaching out for your support. This past November, the Monday after Thanksgiving, I suffered a life changing series of medical events. My partner, Amy came home and found me unresponsive from a seizure. She acted quickly and called 911, started chest compressions and she kept me alive. I was flown by helicopter to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philly after being stabilized at Chester County Hospital. I woke up alone and scared with a breathing tube, my heart functioning at 10%, so many IV's, monitors beeping and doctors at my feet only to find out it was 2 days later. I remained in ICU after who knows how many tests and scans, to find out that my body was fighting Covid Pneumonia, heart failure and seizures that could be related to a mass that was found in my brain. It was serious enough that my family was told not to come see me. It was a lot of information to take in and I have amnesia that is causing big gaps in my remembering the events from Thanksgiving and my stay in the hospital, but I'm slowly piecing it all together. I know that I have a long road ahead of me and all of you are reminding me that I'm not fighting this alone. I'm so grateful to everyone who has been a part of this new and very unexpected journey to get me healthy again. My teams of Doctors and nurses at Penn Medicine are amazing and I know I'm in the best hands with them. My family, my partner Amy and my army of friends and supporters are so much of the reason I'm here and still fighting!!! I have a new normal to adjust to and I'm preparing for all of the many doctor appointments, tests, meds and Brain Surgery among procedures that are in my future. I know just he medical aspect of all of this is going to be a struggle. If any of you are able to help, my gratitude is unmeasurable. It's unexpected times like these where we need our army of support! I see you all and love you all!
