They say "good ol' cowboys" are hard to come by these days. As a longtime friend of Jimmy Dagenhart, I can truly tell you I know a "good ol' cowboy". One that is a true friend, one that would give you the shirt off his back, one that is humble and kind, one that loves Jesus, one that is as tough as they come, and one that lives the cowboy lifestyle every single day.
Unfortunately, Jimmy was in a cowboy related horse accident while working at a rodeo in Columbia, VA on October 22, 2023. He sustained numerous broken ribs, a collapsed lung, and damage to his spleen. During his hospital stay he had numerous surgeries to repair the damage sustained to his body. After a 3 week stay, he was released to come home but has found himself in and out of the hospital ever since. He has had several more surgeries and procedures to try and heal his body and is presently in the hospital facing more obstacles on his path to recovery.
Apart from his hospital stays, Jimmy's injuries have prevented him from being able to work, and his doctors have told him he will be out of work for a very long period of time. With that being said, those that know Jimmy understand that he would NEVER ask for a single thing or a single dime from anyone. He knows there are those less fortunate than him and he beleives God will provide, but I believe God put it on my heart to help raise money to support Jimmy and his medical bills.
The rodeo community has always lifted up those in need and I moreover ask for your continued prayers for Jimmy and ask that you please give what you can to support not only a "good ol' cowboy" but a great guy and great friend.
