The Glenwood Springs High School Best Buddies chapter is a student-led organization that creates friendships and opportunities for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Best Buddies is a nationwide nonprofit focused on inclusion, leadership, and connection, and our chapter works every week to build a community where every member feels valued and celebrated. This year, we started traditions like individual birthday parties for each buddy, complete with decorations, cake, presents, and friends. These celebrations have become the highlight of the year for many of our members and show how powerful it is when every student feels seen and included.

We are raising money to keep these events going and to grow what our chapter can offer. Donations will help cover supplies for activities and parties, transportation, and the cost of attending Best Buddies national leadership meetings so our student leaders can bring new ideas back to our school. Our goal is to make sure next year’s chapter can hit the ground running with resources already in place. Every contribution helps us continue creating a space where friendships grow, confidence builds, and every buddy knows they belong!
