Help Support Asher & Rachel During His Recovery

Donation protected
Hello everyone,

As Asher, our son-in-law, and Rachel, our daughter, face this difficult season, we’ve put together this GoFundMe to give those who’ve asked how to help a way to come alongside them in both prayer and provision.

Asher was in a mountain biking accident and suffered a severe break to his right ankle. Since then, he has been undergoing staged treatment:
  • First, he had a closed reduction in the ER to realign the bones.
  • Then, he underwent a second procedure to place an external fixator to stabilize the injury while swelling went down.
  • He is now preparing for the third and most significant step: reconstructive surgery, scheduled for Monday, July 21st. The goal is to rebuild the joint and restore mobility, but if the damage is too extensive, the surgeon may have to fuse the ankle instead.

Asher is currently non-weight-bearing and unable to work, which has brought not only physical and emotional strain, but financial pressure as well. Rachel has stepped into the role of full-time caregiver, managing his recovery, medications, transportation to appointments, and daily needs. With no disability pay and bills continuing to come in, they could use a little extra support right now. Medical costs alone are expected to reach up to $9,200, and that’s on top of their normal living expenses with no income coming in during this recovery period.

We’ve set a goal of $15,000 to help cover:
• Medical bills from the ER, hospital stay, surgeries, imaging, follow-up care, and physical therapy
• Loss of income while Asher is unable to work
• Basic living expenses like groceries, utilities, and transportation to appointments
• A small emergency buffer to help them breathe during an uncertain recovery timeline

Through all of this, Asher and Rachel have been leaning fully on the Lord, trusting Him for healing, provision, and peace. We know they would never ask for this kind of help on their own, but sometimes life brings seasons where we all need to lean on others. If you feel led to give, pray, or share this with others, it would mean the world to them. Every bit of support, financial or spiritual, is a tangible reminder that they’re not walking this road alone.

Important note for friends and family:
Asher and Rachel are not personally requesting financial assistance through any platform. If you receive any messages or see accounts pretending to be them or asking for money directly, please report it immediately. This GoFundMe is the only campaign approved by their family.

Thank you so much for standing with them in faith.

Much love,
Ronny and Jennifer Hardage
