This past weekend a young couple’s Lake Powell vacation with friends in Arizona, came to a heartbreaking end. Soundarya tragically lost her beloved husband, Subbu (Subrahmaniyan Mathimohan) and his parents lost their only child. Subbu was the sole breadwinner of their family supporting his wife, as well as parents back home in India, leaving very little room to financially save. Subbu was a loving and unconditional brother to many, a sacrificing friend and a beautiful soul. With his sudden untimely passing away, Soundarya is having to grapple with this harsh reality she finds herself in. What she needs now is to mourn, find solace and peace amidst this turmoil. Nothing can replace his presence, his love, their marriage. But as friends and well-wishers we have the opportunity to offer our financial support so Soundarya has one less thing to worry about. And to also sincerely lift her up in our prayers, so her journey to healing is filled with love, support and grace. 

My name is Karthik Krishnamani and I am from Phoenix, Arizona and a close friend of Subbu’s. I have known Subbu and been friends with his family for years now. Soundarya will be 100% beneficiary of this fundraiser. The donations will be used for the ever-mounting expenses she is incurring with each passing day, and if possible, to offer some financial seeding, as she tries to get back on her feet to care for herself and his ageing parents. Soundarya will have total and direct access to these funds to use as she needs them.
