I never thought I’d be using words like oncologist , chemo therapy, or cancer in connection with someone I loved so much but here we are at the beginning of this journey.
Our sister, daughter, wife and friend, Starlee has breast cancer.
The medical diagnosis is Invasive Ductal Carcinoma grade 3.
The exact stage is still unclear until further testing is done.
This diagnosis came out of nowhere and hit us all like a ton of bricks, since Starlee is so young and healthy. I don’t even know if it’s fully set in for us all.
A lot of things are not clear at this point. There are still a lot of tests and scans that need to take place but one thing we know for sure is chemo is definite in the near future.
To ease the burden as much as we can we’ve decided to set up this account. All donations will go directly to Starlee and Trice as they set out to beat down this bully we call cancer.
