Help spay and neuter two dogs we just rescued from

Hi My name is Ally Cruikshank. We recently took two German Shepards, Stella who’s 4 and Sky, her son is 2. They were abandoned and left in an apartment along with his sister who had 11- 2 week old puppies sired by her brother Sky. We found a German Shepard rescue to take mom and pups but she didn’t have room for Sky and Stella so we decided to foster them till we could find a forever home. They are really sweet energetic dogs and if our circumstances were different we’d keep them. We’ve got them up to date on shots but they need to be fixed! We applied for the Vermont spay and neuter incentive program but did not qualify. We took them to the vet and got their shots and a quote which was much more money than We had anticipated, in part, because Stella has had puppies and for some reason that could make the spaying more complicated and Sky has one testicle in the right spot so they will have to find the other one, might be close by… might not. Plus we don’t know when Stella’s next heat will be and we are not prepared for what that will involve ! The quote was anything from $2100 to $2800. My husband and I are committed to helping these two but would really appreciate some help with cost of doing the right thing. Thank you in advance for your help!
