Help Solomon get to Australia!

Hi! My name is John Solomon Collins, and I'm a junior at the University of Maryland studying vocal performance. By the grace of God, I was accepted into the Honors Performance Series (for the second time!) This year, it takes place at the Sydney Opera House in Sydney, Australia. The Honors Performance Series is a program that offers an experience for young musicians unlike any other; it allows singers and instrumentalists to perform under master conductors in world-famous concert halls and tour the cities where the programs take place. I was accepted into the Carnegie Hall program in January 2020, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I was able to tour the Rockefeller Center (and take pictures at the top!), see a Broadway show live, and meet and perform under three world-renowned Black conductors: Dr. Jeffery L. Ames, Dr. Rollo Dilworth, and Dr. Jeffrey Redding, who is the recipient of the 2019 GRAMMY Music Education Award. To be a part of this program, I need your help coming up with $2500 to pay the tuition and an additional $2000 for the flights to and from Australia. Your contribution would mean the world to me and it would help me get one step closer to success in my career and achieving my dreams. I've been singing all my life and wanted to become a professional singer since high school. Being a part of this program has shown me that I can take my voice further than I could've ever imagined, and now I want to take it wherever I can. By contributing, you can help me take it even further. Thank you so much for your consideration! You can also donate to my PayPal or my Venmo if you so choose.
