Help Shirley & Richard get back on their feet

We're reaching out for your support to help Shirley Kobiela & Richard Dixon rebuild their lives after a devastating fire destroyed their home and killed 2 of their 3 dogs and their 3 cats, leaving them with nothing.

Shirley and Richard had been working on building their new home for more than a year and had put so much time, energy, money, love & hope into that place, all of it to be destroyed in a matter of hours.

They are currently staying with friends and waiting for alternative housing, which could take months, particularly as help from local services is very slow. Shirley’s work in hospitality is also seasonal, and as winter approaches her income will diminish, which couldn’t come at a worse time.

She would never ask for financial support from anyone, particularly at a moment when everyone is struggling through the cost of living crisis and a government abandoning its people.

Those who know Shirley know how generous and thoughtful she is and although they can’t begin the endless and impossible task of replacing their belongings as they have no home to put them in, anything you can offer financially will be vital in helping them get back on their feet.

What has happened is beyond devastating and although it will take time to recover your help, however big or small will make a huge difference.
