Help Sherrie Defeat Long Covid Parosmia
Donation protected
Have you ever imagined a world where the simple pleasure of savoring a delicious meal or inhaling the sweet scent of blooming flowers is suddenly stolen from you? Where the vibrant colors of life become muted, and every taste and smell becomes a haunting reminder of what once brought joy? This is the nightmare that Sherrie has been living in.
It's been an incredibly tough journey for her. She's been grappling with the effects of long Covid since last winter, & one of the most distressing symptoms she's been dealing with is a distorted sense of taste and smell. It's not just a mild inconvenience; it's truly debilitating.
Sherrie suffers from a condition called parosmia, where everything she eats or smells is distorted and tastes like rotten, spoiled, gross garbage. It's an overwhelming and constant struggle for her. Her health is deteriorating rapidly; she's withering away with fatigue, hair loss, thyroid issues, malnourishment, palpitations, migraines, & significant weight loss. But there's a glimmer of hope.
We've discovered a potential solution: a procedure called Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB) performed by a Long Covid specialist. It's a treatment that has shown promising results for parosmia. With your support, Sherrie could finally have a chance at reclaiming her senses, allowing her to savor the simple joys in life once again.
Sherrie has tried everything before contemplating this treatment, hoping that her condition would improve. Sadly, it hasn't, and she can no longer wait. The toll it's taking on her mental well-being is immeasurable. She's desperate for a breakthrough.
Unfortunately, her insurance won't cover this procedure as it's considered experimental. That's why we're turning to the kindness and generosity of others. The funds we raise will cover the cost of the procedure itself, as well as the necessary travel expenses. The procedure offers a glimmer of hope for Sherrie's future.
I understand that not everyone can contribute, and there's no pressure or obligation. However, if you find it in your heart to help Sherrie reach her goal, your support would be immensely appreciated. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to making a difference in Sherrie's life. Together, we can offer her the chance to regain what she's lost and help her embark on a path towards healing & recovery.
Thank you for taking the time to read Sherrie's story. Your compassion and support means the world to her, and to all of us who care deeply about her well-being.
