I am a person in Long-Term Recovery, which for me means I have not had any alcohol or drugs since May 21st, 2007. I used to work in the Hospitality Industry, but after I got sober the experience of Recovery was such a miracle in my life I decided to dedicate my life to helping others. I have worked in the Treatment industry since 2008. Currently I work at Talbott Recovery Center in Atlanta. I am the Alumni Service Coordinator, helping people transition from treatment back into their lives, as well as teach people fundamental recovery skills that help get and keep them in Recovery. I work with both current patients and Alumni, and I am blessed to have the job I absolutely love to do. 

I am raising money to go to a special conference that only people like me who have jobs exactly like mine go to learn, teach, and encourage each other. This is the only time I am able to personally interact with anyone who knows exactly what my job is like, and can teach me how to do it better. It is absolutely mind-blowing to be around these amazing people and learn from them. They are my tribe! Here is a link to their website:

This is a valuable learning experience with leaders and mentors with years of experience from treatment centers all over the country who come together to share and teach techniques and strategies to serve their Alumni by building programs that help their Alumni Groups grow, thrive, and help empower them in their lives, families and communities. 

The trip begins October 6th and ends October 11th.
