Recently, Scott received the devastating news that he has Stage 4 Metastatic Appendiceal Adenocarcinoma — a rare and aggressive cancer. True to his nature, he continues to face every challenge with quiet strength, humility, and that unmistakable grin we all know so well.

If you’ve spent any time around the Sunshine Coast surf breaks, you’ve probably seen Scott — always up for a chat, a wave, or helping someone new find their footing. He’s a familiar face in the local surf community and a proud part of what makes our coast so special.

Away from the beach, Scott has touched countless lives through his years of relief teaching at schools across the Coast. His creativity, humour, and artistic flair made him a favourite among students — not just for his teaching, but for the way he genuinely cared. His artwork often found its way into classrooms and hallways, inspiring kids to express themselves and see beauty in the everyday.
