Help Save Outdoor Cats: TNR and Care
Don protégé
***MAJOR UPDATE WITH PHOTOS***:
Since posting this Go Fund Me, we have been able to capture and spay over 50 cats from the area near where I work. We were also able to build plenty of shelters for the cats that they are using daily. The past few months we have been trying to catch the few remaining cats in the area, many of which are female cats that have been getting pregnant. These cats have been especially hard to catch, and they are not healthy enough to have kittens in the first place, so their kittens are born very sick, and it is nearly impossible for them to survive in the elements outside without intervention.
One cat in particular that has been pregnant many times and is proving especially hard to catch gave birth to three kittens in one of the shelters we made a little over a month ago. Though we could see the kittens in the shelter, she moved them to an unknown location before we could take them, and we were unable to find them for the past few weeks. This week she brought the kittens out into the parking lot. One was deceased, and the other two were extremely malnourished, barely able to walk and unable to see. They are very sick, their eyes are extremely infected, they have no vision, and they will require surgery to remove their eyes. These kittens are being looked after by the TNR group and being given medical care. The kittens are improving, but surgery and care for them will be costly, so we are trying to raise money for their medical care and to spay the remaining cats. It is priority to catch this mom cat and the other females in the area to make sure this doesn't happen again, and no more kittens have to suffer. **UPDATE: We captured the mom of these kittens, and she is now fixed!! Pictures of her below**
I will include photos of these kittens, but with warning they are very graphic and tough to look at. These cats face a harsh reality outside, and I hope by posting these photos you can see a glimpse of what these TNR groups are dealing with daily trying to help these cats and kittens. For every cat that we help there will always be more, but stopping the reproduction cycle of this colony is crucial, especially as the weather gets warmer and we expect more kittens. Thank you for taking the time to read this and any donation helps!

PHOTOS OF MOM CAT RECENTLY FIXED:
We captured mom! Thankfully she won't have any more litters of kittens.

ORIGINAL GO FUND ME:
I have been working at my job for over 6 years now, and I have been feeding the cats in the parking lot for the past few years. The number of cats has grown substantially in the last year. I would estimate the number of cats in the area at 20-30 now. I feed them every day, 7 days a week, along with other people that feed them regularly as well. They mostly live in the small patch of woods behind the parking lot, which is dangerous for them, and unfortunately many cats have been hit by cars on the road or in the parking lot in the past few years. Through the years I have been able to catch 5 of the cats and ended up keeping them, but it is very expensive to get them care. A lot of the cats are sick and may require more treatment than normal.
I recently reached out to a TNR group that is already helping to catch the cats to get them fixed and medical care before trying to rehome them or rerelease them. This group has been incredible so far, and they are very dedicated to helping these cats. They have already caught 4 cats in just two weeks, and they are planning on doing a big trap to catch as many as they can. It will cost money to fix these cats and get them medical care, so I am asking for donations to help. The donations will go 100% to these cats - for TNR, medical care, and for food for them if there is extra leftover. Any amount would help, each cat will cost around $25-$50 to fix, and you can sponsor a cat through the process if you are interested. We are also looking for people interested in fostering cats or kittens. Reach out with any questions! Thank you so much.

Second update: We have now trapped a total of 32 cats in just a few weeks! The cats have already been fixed, vaccinated, and given flea medication along with antibiotics for the sick cats. As expected many of the cats are very sick and require medication, so they cannot be released right away. Many of them have very bad eye infections and one may even need to have an eye removed. So the medical costs will be higher than expected for a lot of these cats, the donations are highly appreciated and much needed! There are still a few more cats to catch that will be harder to trap than the others. Thank you so much for caring!!

This cat may need to have eye removed ☹️

Photo of the big trap that we did, 23 cats total were fixed in one day!
