Help save little Gus

Recently I was told I would be coming out to Calgary for a few days for work. I am always very lucky to find people to take Gus, he's incredibly loving and generous with snuggles. I found out later that he had been pacing around and panting nonstop for over 24 hours. His back legs gave out and he could no longer walk. My friend rushed him to the emergency. We later found out he had ruptured a disc in his spine and needs surgery immediately or I was given the option to put him down. Gus is only 3 years old and the thought of not giving him the chance to live his life to its full potential absolutely broke my heart. So here I am, in snowy Alberta while my pup is in surgery in Vancouver. I feel incredibly helpless but I am incredibly lucky to have such a great care giver for Gus to help get him the medical attention he needs to help save his life. So please help my little gremlin boy out, the truth is I need him more than he needs me right now ..
