I never imagined I’d be writing this. Reaching out for help feels incredibly vulnerable, but I’m learning that strength can be found in accepting support from others.

On the 11th of oct 2024 i suffered a seizure leading to an emergency brain surgery to remove a 2cm brain tumour and along with that —a diagnosis of lung cancer stage 3 with the findings of a 3mm node. that came just as I was embarking on a new journey of motherhood and still on maternity leave.

Then on the 14/4 i went in for a scan due to headaches and 3 new lesions were found on my cerebellum. as treatment for everything else has been working and slowing growth. we started a new round of radiation to shrink and stabilize the new lesions, but they are inoperable. we have also started a chemo and immunotherapy plan and treatment is every 3 weeks for the next two years. so from here we just wait to see what the new scans booked for the 1st aug show.

everything has become even more complex now and i will no longer be able to return to work, and my partner has to work fulltime to support us meaning he has very little time to spend with us while i am technically on palliative care.

More bills in the form of extra childcare, hospital bills, medication transport to and from hospital are already taking a toll ...i am asking for help to cover medical expenses and support myself and my family during this time so I can continue to build the future I’m working so hard for.
