Help Sara get reliable transportation
Donación protegida
HRA employee and long-time cat foster, Sara Spendelow, had her 19-year-old vehicle stolen from outside her apartment on January 4, 2020.
Sara is a single mother to her young son, Logan, and an extraordinary caregiver to hundreds of foster kittens. Not only does Sara spend her days working on behalf of the animals in HRA's finance department, her evenings and weekends are devoted to the most vulnerable animals as a kitten foster.
Sara's car was her only mode of transportation and due to having liability-only insurance (full coverage was cost prohibitive for her) vehicle theft is not covered, and she is not able afford a rental car/replacement vehicle out of pocket.
The police are hopeful they will find her car, but there is evidence her car was significantly damaged in the act of stealing it. So even if found (which is seeming less likely with each passing day) she'll have to pay for costly repairs.
Every dollar you contribute will go towards a rental car and either the purchase of a new car or car repairs should her car be found.
Sara has always said "yes" to any animal in need and now it is time for us to help her.
