Dear kind, animal-loving souls,
Last December, our rescue (PetAid) saved Teddy Bear from Carson shelter who was labeled “aggressive” and hidden from visitors’ eyes. He was adopted and returned for apparently growling at the adopter.
When we were eventually allowed to see him, we felt something so sweet and loving about this shepherd. We couldn’t get him out of our minds.
A week later, we saw him on his last plea and the final 24 hours notice. We read his notes and story...
His original name was Saint, then he was re-named to Teddy Bear. Quite sweet names for an “aggressive” dog, we thought. Nothing was adding up and we knew in our hearts we had to take a chance on him. We are so glad we did. There’s not one aggressive cell in him. He is the most loving dog on earth.
A week ago, he stopped eating. We took him to two different vets to no improvement. It was time to go to the emergency hospital. It turned out that Saint had an obstruction in his stomach and needed an urgent surgery to survive. The cost of the surgery would be $8,000. Without it, he would die.
I am reaching out to you for help. Pet Aid currently has no means to afford it.
Your kindness is deeply appreciated, always.
I will be updating you with pictures on Saint’s condition.
Many thanks,
