Help Saige Study Abroad in Barbados

Hello, my name is Saige Goodman, I am a sophomore Health Science major attending Spelman College. I am excited to share that I’ve been extended the incredible opportunity to study abroad in Barbados in partnership with Ross University School of Medicine. This journey is a pivotal step in expanding my knowledge of healthcare in Barbados and Ross University, exploring the diverse options it offers in the pursuit of a Medical Degree.

 During this study abroad experience, I will gain valuable clinical exposure, engage in critical analysis of social determinants of health in the Caribbean, immerse myself in cultural enrichment, and enhance my pre-health literacy and career development. I believe that it is important to gain a diverse understanding of backgrounds and cultures, and this opportunity aligns perfectly with my aspirations to become an obstetrician-gynecologist, as it allows me to broaden my perspective beyond the confines of Philadelphia or Atlanta.

 By participating in the Barbados Global Health Trip next spring, I not only fulfill my long-standing curiosity about healthcare outside of the US, but also delve into the unique medical practices of the region. Your support will play a vital role in helping me maximize my potential and contribute meaningfully to my journey towards becoming a healthcare professional.
