Help Roland Walters Achieve Top Surgery

SURGERY- Aug 18, 2025.

SURGICAL PAYMENT DUE- July 29, 2025. 

My name is Roland Walters, I'm 21 and I'm a transgender man in Lansing, Michigan. I've worked hard to save up enough money for top surgery, all while working full-time and working toward a Bachelor's degree at MSU (received May 2025).

Of course, life had other plans and I've found myself about $500 short for the surgery, plus recovery expenses. I'm trying as hard as I can to maximize my savings, but I will still be a little short, and I find myself in a situation where pushing back the surgery would possibly push it back to January 2026 at the earliest, seeing as I have applied/interviewed for an internship at NASA that would take me to Houston.

It is now that I turn to family, community, and strangers to try and fundraise the last bit to be able to afford such a life-changing and gender-affirming surgery in a turbulent time where all we have is one another.

Any additional funds will go to recovery costs, surgery related prescriptions, expenses incurred during the time off for recovery as I will have to take a minimum of 2 weeks off work.
