Help Robin(My Sister)get her life back to Normal.

Hello My Name is Joseph, let me share my Sister's Story. As many of you know my sister Robin lost 75% of her sight in her right eye in 2014. She had to learn to see the world differently just to do everyday tasks. She had to learn to drive again and read with out losing her place. Computers bright lights dark places and tiny details became obstacles. After 3 years of doctors visits and going to numerous different types of physician's she still didn't have answers. More then one neurologist said it was more then likely an autoimmune disease, however there still were no answers. Robin accepted this and just kept going. It's been hard through the years as the vision in that eye continued to worsen. She now has less then 10% vision in that eye. In the beginning of this year the vision in her left eye started to deteriorate. Within the last 6 months she has lost depth perception color vibrancy the ability to color within the lines and see her own daughters facial expressions. Living in Idaho she is limited to the doctors who treat this type of problem. When she researched doctors she found 1 that wanted to help. Dr. Johnson who is an optic neurologist sent her to see a neurologist who specializes in optic autoimmune diseases. Still no answers. She went back to see Dr. Johnson and he referred her to a low vision specialist. This doctor cannot diagnose but could help her to use the vision she has to try and normalize her life. Dr. Hansen showed her ways to manipulate her surroundings to better judge things. He also makes custom glasses and other tools to help people like Robin drive, work, read, watch TV, and see people's faces from across the room. These are just some of the things Robin is unable to do with out help. She has to magnify everything in order to see it. She has to be close to see if your smiling at her, and recently discovered she can't paint her own nails. Normal tasks like reading the directions on the back of a pizza are near impossible with out taking a picture and then zooming in on the words. Normal over the counter magnifying glasses and readers don't help anymore. These custom glasses and tools that Dr.Hansen can have made for her will help her keep her drivers license and her job. These glasses will let her drive unassisted to new areas without having to worry if she missed a turn or what the name on a street is. Her everyday readers will let her look at a computer and be able to see what's in front of her. She'll be able to see what Skylar is doing in the room without having to walk up to her. She'll be able to paint her daughters nails and read books to her at night. She'll be able to enjoy going to the park with her and being able to see her slide down the slide or skip rocks at the lake. By donating to this fund She'll be able to get all the tools available to her so she can get as much out of life as possible. Every dollar raised is so very much appreciated and will go toward either a pair of glasses or a tool to assist in every day activities.
