Help River Beat Cancer!
Donation protected
On June 16th, 2024, my four-year-old nephew, River, went to the emergency room for a CT scan. In the month leading up to his diagnosis, River experienced persistent headaches and facial ticks, resulting in him not being his usual playful and energetic self. Unfortunately, the results revealed a tumor in his nasal cavity. He was then transferred by ambulance to Cook Children's Medical Center, where an MRI and biopsy confirmed the devastating diagnosis of stage 3 Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer that affects the muscle tissue.
We are reaching out for support during an incredibly challenging time as we navigate the challenges of treatment, which include extensive chemotherapy, radiation, and hospital stays. Our sweet and courageous, River, has shown remarkable bravery and resilience. No child should have to endure the pain and uncertainty of cancer, yet River approaches each day with a fighting spirit and a smile so bright it makes you melt just by looking at it.
My sister, Lisandra, and brother-in-law, Michael, have been pillars of strength in navigating this journey with unwavering love and support for their son. We seek your generous support to help cover the mounting medical expenses, travel costs for specialized treatments, and everyday needs to ensure River receives the best possible care. Your contribution, no matter how small, will significantly impact and bring us closer to a hopeful future for River. Your generosity is deeply appreciated and ensures he receives the care he needs and the hope he deserves.
