Dear Vivian - Help Rider Seniors Create Their Short Film!
Donation protected
Hi - We are a group of senior Film/TV majors at Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ currently working on producing a short film for our filmmaking class.
Dear Vivian explores the complex relationship between 20-year-old piano prodigy Vivian Briar and a manifestation of her recently deceased mother. When tasked to play a difficult piano piece at her mother's funeral, Vivian must confront her true feelings toward her mom.
The story deals with themes of grief, abuse, and familial pressure. Our team has been working hard on doing justice to this narrative, including our Director Faith Robinson-Hughes, Lead Editor and Producer Nat Kapustin, Writer, Cinematographer, and Colorist James Felcon, Writer and Art Director Aaliyah Shoulders, and Sound Design Tim Kelly.
We are seeking donations to help fund the project for expenses such as location rental, catering, props, transportation, and alleviating the costs for film festival submissions around the area. All donations will go directly to project expenses.
We'll be providing regular updates on the project both here and on our Instagram, @dearvivianfilm. Stay tuned, and thank you for the support!
