Innovative Dance, home to many dancers for over 13 years, was destroyed by severe storms in early September of 2020. Destruction such as water damage to the dance studio floors, the roof collapsing, mold buildup, and common areas ruined are only the beginning of the horrific damages to the place many dancers call their second home.
After several months of trying to contact the landlord of the building, there still to this day has not been any response to help with the repairs to the damages that have directly affected the well-being of the business.
With still trying to recover financially from the COVID-19 pandemic, the IDI family is forced to leave their existing building and move their facility to a new space where they are faced with unexpected expenses. I am seeking your help to alleviate these costs.
The most debilitating cost to the move is the exterior signage of the new facility. Following coding guidelines, there must be commercial signage on the front of the facility in order to operate.
With incoming tuition covering the cost of most of the overhead expenses and teachers' salaries for the duration of the year, the success of this fundraiser will allow the dance studio to cover the costs of these unexpected expenses needed at the new facility.
If you are an alumni who grew up at Innovative Dance; if you have/know of a child/grandchild who attends IDI as a recreational/competition member or apart of ACBA; if you are a patron of the arts or a community member who values the continuation of arts education in the Arlington/Dalworthington Gardens/Pantego area; please consider helping Innovative Dance with this transitional time!
