We (Carly, Tad, Paula, Joe, Dae, and Robbi) are a group of people from Minneapolis who have come together to form a refugee sponsorship group through the Sponsor Circle Program.
As sponsors, we are taking on the responsibility of supporting a newcomer family in securing housing, setting up their home, learning English, getting a job, enrolling in school, and obtaining any services they need to help them become a part of our community. And, our work will be all about welcoming—welcoming them to a new home, a new culture, and their new life.
Can you please help us raise enough funds to support new arrivals during their first 90 days in the U.S.?
Your donation will help to cover expenses for the first 90 days of the family’s arrival in the U.S., including:
- Housing
- Utilities
- Technology (phone and wifi)
- Food staples
- Clothing and shoes
- Winter coats and gear
- Furniture
- Cleaning supplies
- Transportation costs
- School supplies
- Anything else they need to get settled
This is a cause that is near and dear to all of our hearts. We come from various professions and backgrounds, but we all believe in the strength of community and the importance of doing what we can for those who have lost so much.
