If you’ve ever walked into the Tieri bar and grill when Rae and Stephen were running it, you’ll know exactly the kind of people they are.

Rae was the heart of the kitchen — a gifted chef who poured love into every single plate. Stephen was the steady, friendly face at the counter, making everyone feel welcome the moment they walked through the door. Together, they didn’t just run a business — they built a place where people gathered, laughed, celebrated, and felt at home.

They have always shown up for this community.

Now it’s our turn to show up for them.

Rae has recently been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. In what feels like the blink of an eye, life has changed dramatically. She has had to step away from work and begin chemotherapy treatment in Brisbane.

While Stephen continues working his 7/7 roster, he is travelling back and forth to Brisbane to be by Rae’s side during treatment. The cost of travel, accommodation, fuel, time away from work, and everyday expenses is quickly adding up — on top of the emotional weight they are already carrying.

On the weekend, Rae bravely shaved her hair, wearing a smile that perfectly reflects who she is — strong, graceful, and full of light even in the hardest moments. She is one of the most beautiful human beings you could ever meet — inside and out.
