Our friend is raising money to:
Our friend moved into a living situation with 2 other queer BIPOC individuals — all three signed onto the lease. After less than 2 months, it became clear that the third person was not who they said they were. Our friend and their roommate had to ask the third person to leave due to manipulative, narcissistic behavior; disgusting habits; not paying bills; and compulsive, relentless lying; and anti-Black racism. They have also caused conflict with the other neighbors which has escalated to the point of police involvement.
When asked to leave, the third person refused and the landlord refused to help. The third person then began retaliating against the other roommates by attempting to create an unlivable environment. After the second roommate moved out, their replacement decided to leave after a mere 24 hours.
Our friend’s previous roommate was embezzling their rent which resulted in them being evicted from their apartment, causing them to have to move in emergency circumstances. Now they are trying to find a safe place to live with the second roommate in order to avoid another chaotic, unsafe situation but are still financially recovering after their most recent move (3 months ago)
