Help Q escape Arkansas

Donation protected
Every day, the south gets more and more hostile to anyone who isn’t a Christian, cishet, white, able-bodied man. I’m a queer, trans, disabled Jewish person. I need out.

A few years ago, my governor made it illegal for cities and counties to pass non-discrimination laws that would have made equal opportunities for trans and other queer people. It’ll illegal to make it illegal to discriminate.

The longer I’m here, the sicker I get. I need help to leave. This is a goal in two parts. First, I need a reliable car. I think I can find one for $8000ish. I have an aunt who will help a little, but my family isn’t rich.

I’m hoping to make it as far as Memphis, an hour and a half away. I have connections there. I think I could find a room to rent and part time work. I think I could afford an apartment with a roommate if we looked in the right areas. My shul is there. I would have support there and be less alone and afraid.

But I can’t do anything without a car. Can you help me make the first part of this venture happen? I can’t do it alone. I live on $900/month on SSDI allotment. I have no savings and no real safety net. I need to leave.
