Help Primrose Recover from Emergency Surgery

Age: 12 weeks

Primrose, our sweet 12-week-old kitten, has had a tough start. She was found trapped in my car engine, stuck for 32 hours. After a brave rescue, my generous neighbors took her in, vetted her, and got her back to health. Yesterday, on 11/17/2024, Prim faced another hurdle—she ingested a sharp needle. She was rushed to the Veterinary Emergency Group, where she underwent surgery to remove it from her stomach.

My neighbors and I are passionate about rescuing, rehabilitating, and adopting out strays. However, vet care, especially emergency vet care, is expensive. We recently rescued and homed several community cats in our Montrose area and have paid for most expenses out of pocket. The only option for her best chance of recovery was to have the needle surgically removed due to the risks of potential internal bleeding.
