Help Playdor Nursery Save Lives with a Fundraiser Walk to Rivington Pike.

At Playdor Nursery, the safety and well-being of our children, staff, and community are at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we are taking on an incredible challenge to raise vital funds for lifesaving equipment.

On Friday 18th April, our team will be walking from our nursery (Playdor Chorley) all the way to Rivington Pike and back—a significant journey (Around 12 miles/ 6 hours). We are raising money to purchase a defibrillator and a LifeVac choking rescue device, tools that could one day save a life.

Why It Matters:

Defibrillators dramatically improve the chances of survival in cases of sudden cardiac arrest, and having one on-site would ensure we are prepared for emergencies in and around our nursery. Similarly, the LifeVac device provides critical support in choking emergencies, especially for young children, when every second counts.

Not only will this equipment help protect the children and staff at Playdor, but it will also be available for our local community, giving peace of mind to everyone who lives, works, or visits nearby.

Supporting the Oliver Steeper Foundation:

Once we’ve met our fundraising target for the equipment, every additional penny will be donated to the Oliver Steeper Foundation, a charity that supports grieving families and works tirelessly to improve safety in childcare settings. Their mission resonates deeply with our own commitment to safeguarding children.
