Florida Communities hit by Irma
Donation protected
Five Star Senior Living takes care of over 5,000 Seniors in the state of Florida and in the Savannah area of Georgia. All 23 of the communites were affected by Hurricane Irma. Five communities were evacuated. One community had to evacuate twice. Twelve communies lost power and phones, and all received damage.
The team members of each community worked tirelessly, around the clock, not knowing what was happening at their own homes. Some brought their families and all served our seniors before, during, and after the storm. Many worked for three or four days, but some worked as many as eight days around the clock. The team members provided care but did so much more than that. They provided reassurance, love, and so many hugs and smiles, even in the midst of their exhaustion and personal loss.
Many of our team members received significant damage to their homes and vehicles and almost all of them lost all of their food because of the loss of power that spanned for many days. We would like to assist our team members that worked so hard and selflessly for our seniors. Please consider making a donation to help our team members that work so hard helping others.
