Hi everyone, this is Kyleigh. This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write, but I’m doing it because I believe in my husband and I believe in our family.

If you know Cody, then you already know he would never ask for help — not from friends, not from family, not from anyone. He has always been the kind of man who shoulders everything himself, who protects everyone around him even when he’s the one breaking inside. He’s private, proud in the best way, and refuses to be a burden to anybody.

But the truth is… this season has pushed us to a place where silence and strength alone just aren’t enough anymore.

As some of you know what’s going on, most of you don’t, and there are things I’m not able to share publicly because of the ongoing legal process. What I can say is that we’ve been fighting a long, exhausting court battle for months — one that has drained us emotionally, mentally, and financially in ways we never expected.

Cody has already lived through more loss and heartbreak than most people face in a lifetime. Losing his mom, then losing his dad, and then being thrown into a situation no parent ever imagines — it’s changed him. But instead of giving up, he’s shown up to every hearing, every meeting, every step, doing everything he’s been asked to do. He’s been patient, calm, respectful, and determined, even when the weight of it all has been crushing.

I’ve watched him fight with everything he has.

I’ve watched him carry stress and pain that would overwhelm most people.

I’ve watched him stay focused when it felt impossible to keep going.

But the reality is… the financial strain of this fight has become too heavy for us to carry alone. Attorney fees, filings, preparation, constant back-and-forth — it adds up faster than anyone realizes. We’ve stretched ourselves thin, used every resource we had, and kept going as long as we could.

So I’m doing something Cody never would: I’m asking for help.

Every dollar donated here will go directly and only to legal fees — nothing else. This isn’t for personal expenses, comforts, or anything beyond what’s absolutely necessary to keep this fight going the right way.

I know times are hard for so many people, and I don’t expect anything from anyone. Even just sharing this page or sending a message of support means more than you know.
