Update - 06/11/2026

We received a second opinion on our van today in Fallston, and unfortunately, the news was not what we had hoped for.

After reviewing the vehicle, we were told that the van is essentially unsalvageable. The cost of repairs would be extremely high, and there is no guarantee that fixing the current engine issue would solve everything. We were advised that if work is done to repair the burnt valve, it could uncover or lead to additional engine problems, leaving us with even more costly repairs and no guarantee of a reliable vehicle.

Given the age and condition of the van, we were told that the safest and most practical option is to trade it in and put those funds toward another vehicle rather than investing thousands into repairs that may not last.

Our family's van is our only source of transportation, and we are now hoping to raise enough to help us trade it in and purchase a reliable used vehicle while keeping our monthly payments manageable.
