On Christmas Eve, my parents, Orlando and Lidsa, suffered a terrible accident when a propane grill exploded, causing second degree burns on their legs. Instead of celebrating the holiday at home, they spent Christmas in the hospital, facing pain and uncertainty. By the grace of God, they survived and have already undergone their first surgery, but their journey to recovery is far from over. They still need at least two more surgeries for skin grafts, which must be done in Tampa, two hours away from our home. Each week, we make the long drive three times for their surgeries and physical therapy, hoping for healing and strength.

The road ahead is challenging, and the costs are overwhelming. Orlando and Lidsa need high-protein meals and vitamin-rich juices to help their bodies heal, but these foods are expensive. Their legs require daily care with special bandages and gauzes, which add up quickly. Every trip to Tampa means more gas, more time away from work, and more financial strain. We want to give them the best chance at recovery, but we can't do it alone.
