Back in October of 2025, my husband rescued three kittens from a storm drain in Pflugerville, TX. One of the kittens has since passed, but the other two, Hamlet and Ophelia, have become beloved members of our family. They are both incredibly loving, playful, and energetic, bringing so much joy to our home every day.

Recently, while playing together, Ophelia suffered a serious injury and broke her femur. I rushed her to the emergency room, hoping it was just a minor issue, but we quickly learned she needed surgery. The ER bill was overwhelming, but we knew she needed immediate care. After researching our options, we found a reputable orthopedic surgery center (VROC) that offered the best care at a more reasonable price. Ophelia has since had her surgery and is now in recovery, already eager to play with her brother again.

The challenge we face now is financial. We paid for Ophelia’s surgery and care even though we didn’t have the funds, and it has put a significant strain on our family. The funds raised through this campaign will help cover the cost of her surgery and follow-up care, allowing us to focus on her recovery and well-being.
