Help My Family Stay Warm and Healthy This Winter

My name is Nidal, and I am a mother trying my best to take care of my family during a very difficult time. My husband, two children and I are seeking asylum in the United States. We have come here, leaving behind our home and family, to escape ongoing war in our home country. The violence and destruction made it impossible to stay, and we feared for our safety every day. We lost our home, our jobs, and everything we had worked so hard to build. With great difficulty, we came to the United States seeking safety and a chance to rebuild our lives.

We are still waiting for our work authorization, which means we are not allowed to work yet. Because of this, we are struggling to provide the basic things every family needs.

With winter coming, we are facing many expenses that we cannot afford. I am asking kindly for help to raise $2000 to support my children and give them a warm, safe, and healthy winter.

What we need help with:

• Winter Clothes - This is our first winter in the US, we need warm jackets, boots, hats, and gloves for my children so they can stay safe in the cold.

• Kids’ Medicines - My children need regular medicines, and without insurance or income, even simple medicines are hard to afford.

• Dentist Care for the Kids - My son is having unbearable tooth pain. He needs dental care and treatment, but the costs are more than we can handle right now.

• Christmas Items - I want to give my kids a small, joyful Christmas—simple decorations and a few gifts so they can feel hope and happiness after everything we have been through.

• Groceries - Basic food and household items to help us get through the month until we are allowed to work.
