Hello friend. It’s Nathan and Johnna here, and we first want to thank you for taking the time to read about our project! As you consider your involvement in this campaign, please know that you are valued by us and that this would not be possible without our God-given community.
Now, if you are wondering what this project actually is, read on!
I (Nathan) am recording a full-length, live album with nine songs, to be released in March or April 2022; as well as a deluxe album with additional songs, to be released in May or June 2022. The live recording will take place in a home with a full band including three featured vocalists, a film crew, and 30 guests.
The last time I recorded an album was in 2017 (it was called Home and was also recorded live). I released it in 2018 and since then it has been streamed over two million times! This new album, Coming Home (live), carries the spirit of the previous album with a fresh perspective that only comes through time and process with God. When I began writing the songs, I was intimidated. It had been so long since I had put a full album together, and I wasn’t sure if I had enough vision for it. But, as I started putting ideas on the whiteboard, it became quite clear. I would write about the things I had learned in the past season of walking with the Lord. From there, the words and music began to flow from a deep place within me. These songs are about my journey with the Lord over a span of 4 years. They speak about coming out of numbness, getting free from unintentional religious paradigms, the prodigal son returning to a loving father, and, most importantly, declaring who God is in a way that people can rally behind. It was important for me to write songs that were honest with my story, but also relatable for everyone. These are songs about the human experience as it relates to God, and can therefore be sung in various churches and communities.
In the past, I had been unable to complete projects due to financial limitations. Thankfully, through the small business that I own and saving almost all of my music- gained income, the Lord has blessed my wife and I with the finances to underwrite this project! We have already paid half of the studio/mixing/mastering fees, the downpayment for visual production, plane tickets and hotels for out-of-town bandmates, live sound costs, and musicians day-rates. We thank the Lord for that, and we want to invite you to join in as well!

The total of these logistical costs is $19,000. Every dollar that comes in will be used solely towards this project.
