Help Nan Cass fight Melanoma

In early October Nan was diagnosed with stage 3, possibly stage 4 skin cancer (nodular melanoma) from a fast-growing mole that was removed. This is a very aggressive form of cancer, so almost immediate surgery was ordered to do a wide excision surgery to remove more skin from around the site, and inject die and test the closest lymph nodes to see it if it had spread and unfortunately it has. A pet scan and MRI was performed and waiting results. Another surgery is needed to widen the skin area removed and remove and test more lymph nodes, this one being slightly more invasive and will need a longer recovery time and include chemotherapy/immunotherapy for at least one year minumum - she has been unable to work for over a month and the next surgery, which will be soon, will need even more recovery time. Nan is self-employed so there is no unemployment or short-term disability for help. We are asking for your help in supporting Nan financially as she navigates this time of uncertainty. Your donations will help alleviate the strain of not being able to work, monthly expenses, medical bills, as well as help Nan be comfortable while recovering from surgery and possibly moving this fight to the U of M.
