My name is Catherine Pacheco, and I am reaching out for help to support my father, Oscar, who has been my hero and inspiration throughout my life. Since 2002, my dad has been battling chronic kidney disease. Living in Mexico, where access to medical specialists is limited for many, he faced significant challenges in getting the care he needed during the early years of his illness. Despite his struggles, my father always put our family first, often keeping his pain to himself so he could continue working and supporting us.

In 2012, he made the difficult decision to hide the severity of his symptoms, wanting to remain strong for everyone around him. Now, in 2025, his condition has progressed, and he is no longer able to work due to the toll that chronic kidney disease has taken on his body. As his oldest daughter, I have taken on the responsibility of caring for him, making decisions about his treatments, and doing everything I can to ensure he receives the medical attention he needs.

We are currently facing the challenge of affording his peritoneal dialysis sessions and other necessary medical expenses. My family and I are doing our best to stay positive and keep our happiness alive, but we need help to continue my father's treatment and give him more time with us.
