Hi, my name is Ces, and I'm reaching out with a heart full of both hope and grief. I currently live and work in Chicago, while my family is in the Philippines. I’ve always done my best to support them financially — but right now, we’re facing an overwhelming crisis that I can no longer handle alone.
A Sudden Loss. On April 16, 2025, my beloved sister passed away unexpectedly due to a burst appendix and severe infection. It broke our hearts and turned our world upside down. We never imagined that just weeks later, our family would face another devastating challenge.
My Father’s Health Battle
Shortly after my sister’s passing, my father’s rectal cancer returned. What we thought was a manageable concern quickly escalated. Doctors discovered lumps in his pancreas, and he began experiencing severe chest and back pain, along with jaundice due to his pancreas not functioning properly.
He’s now been in the hospital for over 35 days. A metal stent was placed to help with his bile flow, but his condition remains critical:
- His blood pressure and hemoglobin levels keep dropping
- There is continuous blood draining from his colostomy bag
- The doctors are concerned that the cancer may have spread to his lungs or other organs, and a biopsy is urgently needed
Being far from home during this time is excruciating. I send as much money as I can from my job here in Chicago, but our medical bills are piling up beyond what I can manage alone. My mother is trying to stay strong, but after the loss of my sister and the uncertainty around my father’s condition, it’s incredibly hard. I know that many people assume life in America means having plenty — but like many immigrants, I work hard just to stay afloat and support my loved ones back home.
I know there’s so much pain in the world, but if you’ve read this far — thank you. Your kindness, your prayers, or your donation — no matter how small — means more than words can say.
How the Funds Will Help:
- Ongoing hospital bills
- Surgery, medications, and diagnostics (CT scans, biopsy, etc.)
- Blood transfusions and post-hospital care
- unpaid hospital costs related to my sister death.
Even if you can't donate, please consider sharing this campaign. Every act of kindness matters. From the bottom of my heart — thank you for helping me carry this load.
With Love,
Ces
