Help Motasem Al-Banna's Family Survive War

Hello, I'm Motasem, a university student who has excelled throughout my life, always ranking first, and I am the youngest in my family. We live in northern Gaza, which was devastated by the genocidal war that took place thirteen months ago, and I am now living in a tent as a displaced person.

The war has shattered my dreams and future as an ambitious young person striving for success and global recognition in programming. It destroyed our home, which my father spent twenty years building, reducing it to ashes in an instant. It also killed my cat and left my siblings unemployed despite their good jobs before the war. Now, we live in harsh conditions with no adequate healthcare or medicine, and with schools and universities destroyed, we lack educational institutions as well.

In October 2023, we received a call to evacuate our home in northern Gaza and move west. Shortly after, our neighborhood was destroyed. Five days later, we were told to move south. Despite moving from place to place, following each instruction to stay safe, every area was exposed to bombing and destruction. Both our northern home and our temporary shelter in the south were destroyed. Thirteen months into this genocide, we remain trapped in Gaza, where every day is a struggle for survival. With no jobs, electricity, education, or safety, life revolves around basic survival—waiting in line for water, bread, and firewood. The constant bombings and threat of death have erased hope, making life increasingly unbearable.

To face these challenges, we launched a GoFundMe campaign with the help of my American friend, hoping to share our story with kind-hearted people worldwide. We aim to gather the support needed to withstand these hardships and regain the peace, stability, and dreams we were forced to leave behind.
