Help MMIP Family Travel To May 5th Event

Donation protected

Everyone has a right to heal but not everyone has access to healing spaces.
Healing is one of the most unsupported, inaccessible and underfunded aspects of the MMIP movement as well as direct services for families that are searching for their loved ones. This campaign was created to help support a family that has been grieving and would like to attend a May 6th event, these events don’t undo the loss and trauma but they offer moments of solace and reminders that they are not alone.

Freda Knowshisgun has been missing since October 20, 2016. Her last known location was Walmart in Kennewick, WA. Freda's sister Frances attended the Seattle MMIP event in 2022 and wishes to attend again this year. Freda's family has endured much grief, and we would like to support them in their healing journey.

Frederick Knowshisgun went missing in Hardin, Montana on February 3, 2022, and his body was found on March 28, 2022. The Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office investigation remains active in his case. His daughter Freda Carrie’s a lot on her shoulders, supports many others and has a right to be in spaces that bring healing.

100% of the funds raised will go to the family to help with the cost of travel from Montana to Seattle, Washington.

MMIP “Families First” centers the MMIP movement on the family's voice, their needs and their quest for Justice and healing.

On May 6th in honor of the May 5th National Day of Awareness, grassroots organization MMIWP & Families is hosting its 3rd annual MMIP March and gathering. This is a trusted organization amongst MMIP Families as they center the voice and needs of families. Their events are one of a kind and families leave feeling empowered. These good moments are important for families to experience together.

Another way to show support and raise awareness is to buy a shirt from my t-shirt campaign: https://www.bonfire.com/mmip/

Please consider donating and sharing, you will be directly supporting those whose lives have been impacted by this epidemic. I thank you kindly.
