Hi my names Minerva, I’m non binary, and I’m a survivor of abuse and exploitation. I moved to London from Australia in 2012 to live with a person who promised me safety, but they ended up exploiting me and abused me for years. Since I left them, I have struggled to find safe housing. Currently, the live-in landlord in the place I’m staying keeps threatening to evict me and lock me out if I fail to do a long list of work around the house that she has written up (e.g. cut her grass, sweep, do her laundry, fix her fence, and other manual labour). Time after time; I am placed in unsafe living conditions.

Frustratingly, I applied for the right to remain but I am still waiting to hear back. I desperately need funds to pay for food, accommodation, and travel to urgent health and legal appointments.

Your money would help me immediately pay for a hotel room for a few days whilst I find a stable living space. The rest would help me find my feet long term as I attempt to secure support from the very few trans-friendly migrant helping organisations.
