Help Mikayla Pay Hospital Bill

Hi, friends, family, and strangers! But I consider you a friend if you're reading this because it shows you care.

In November 2021, I had a mental health emergency that forced me to take a leave of absence from my job and enroll in a hospital program. Finding a hospital program was hard: my insurance covered only two options, one of which currently isn't running due to COVID. The other was waitlisted far in advance, and I needed immediate help. I enrolled in a program that could take me sooner rather than later with minimal coverage from my insurance.

I have had no income for two months due to losing my job, and now I have a hefty bill to pay. Ironically, the stress of this bill is setting me back to the unhealthy place I was in before my emergency in November. On top of this bill, I have ongoing psychiatric appointments to pay for as a part of my long-term treatment plan.

I am returning to work in a couple of weeks but only part-time, as that is all I can mentally handle right now. It'll take a few months to earn money for this bill, and that's without considering rent, utilities, appointments, and medication.
