My name is Michelle, and I’m reaching out for help as I recover from surgery for three hernias. For a long time, I tried to push through the pain while working at Amazon, but it finally became too much to bear. Just two weeks before my scheduled surgery, I lost my job after being unable to keep up with the demands of the work while suffering from three hernias. I knew I couldn’t wait any longer for surgery, and I made sure to have the procedure done before the end of the year to avoid even higher medical costs. Now I’m facing a tough road ahead as I recover.

Right now, I’m unable to work or drive for at least three more weeks, and I’m worried about how I’ll keep up with my bills. I don’t have any dependents, and I’ve found there’s less help available for single women without kids, especially for homeowners like me. I’m looking for support to help cover my car note, health insurance, car insurance, credit cards, and care credit—which increased after my beloved cat passed away a few months ago. This will also help me afford food and basic needs while I recover.
