This is Meagyn. She is 17 Years old and has already been through so much in her short life. In June of 2016 just after my mother was recovering from her own bout with cancer, Meagyn was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma brain cancer. She underwent the arduous process of Chemotherapy and Radiation and had been on the path to recover for the last 7 years with some stability issues as a result of the treatments. In March of this year she lost one of her brothers in a drowning accident, then just weeks later Meagyn was admitted to the emergency room for slurred speech. It was determined at that time that she had another tumor and needed to have surgery ASAP. The second surgery went well in that they were able to remove a large portion of the tumor. Unfortunately though it had grown legs that have gone too far into the brain and cannot be removed. The pathology came back from the tumor that the doctors were able to remove and found that this is a different cancer than the first. The new cancer is grade 4 Glioma that was caused by the radiation used to cure the first cancer. This new cancer is very aggressive, there is no known treatment and at this time it will be terminal. Meagyn might only have weeks or months left to live. We have created this fundraiser to assist our family with making her last wishes come true and to assist with funeral expenses.
