Help me recover my stolen rent

EDIT: I can't thank you all enough for the immediate support that you've shown me. I dropped the goal on here below my real goal, as a few of you sent me donations through other means. I am eternally grateful to everyone who donated, for everyone that shared this page, to everyone that reached out/let me vent, to everyone who was trying to help me solve the problem. I had a very emotional (in a good way) day. I started this morning very low, and from the help of you caring, thoughtful, helpful people; I am good. I have some added stress to my new living situation that I have to deal with accordingly, but in the meantime, you've all, collectively, saved me. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. ❤️

I don't even know where to start, I never thought I would have to do this.

As some of you know, I moved at the beginning of this year. I have been paying my rent in cash. Yesterday, I left my rent in a not 100% secure location. That was a huge mistake. Someone took the envelope from under my apartment door. The police are working with me to get this figured out. Until then, I come to my friends and family online asking for help.

My current rent is being covered by someone, as a loan. I will not miss rent. I will, however, be set very far back paying it back and also saving for next months rent. If you feel like it, throwing a couple bucks to help alleviate the shit that I am in would be tremendously appreciated. I feel very guilty making a gofundme for my own mistake, but I don't have another choice at the moment.

edit: I can't go too far into details while I'm working with the police to figure out the next steps; this is a wild situation that unfortunately landed on me. So again, thank you all for your help and understanding.
