Hi, my name is Jorge.

Back in June, I got hurt at work in the upper part of my groin, and the injury turned into an infection. On July 3rd, I had surgery to treat it. What made things even harder is that workers’ comp denied my case, so now every single medical bill is coming straight out of my pocket.

Right now, I can’t work, and the bills are stacking up fast:

• Insurance Balance: I owe $570.

• Physical Therapy: I need 3 sessions a week for 10 weeks. My copay is $25 per visit, which adds up to $750 total.

• Doctor Visits: I still have at least 3 more appointments with specialists (orthopedic, intensive care, and infectious disease).

• Hospital Bills: On top of that, I owe thousands of dollars in hospital costs that I’ll have to face down the line.

It’s overwhelming trying to heal while stressing about money. My goal with this fundraiser is to cover physical therapy, the balance I owe to insurance, and my upcoming specialist appointments, so I can focus on recovery instead of debt.
