I'm Cassandra Mayela Allen and I'm gathering funds for my dad.

I'm an artist and community organizer and I've been based in NYC since 2014 when I had to leave my home country.

My dad has been arbitrarily imprisoned in Venezuela since March 2024.

His case is one of the thousands of documented cases of wrongful and arbitrary detentions, enforced disappearances, torture, and other abuses in Venezuela.

The law system back home is beyond corrupted and this has been a lot to deal with. I cannot disclose more details out of fear of more extortion and/or potential retaliation—sharing his current situation is already delicate enough.

In this past year and a half that he's been locked in, his health has exponentially deteriorated and now is severely compromised. I just simply do not have the bandwidth or resources to help with his medical bills and legal fees. If it’s in your capacity, please donate or share this campaign.
