If you're reading this, thank you for taking the time. Asking for help is not something I do lightly. For years, I've used my camera to document police interactions while exercising First Amendment rights that numerous courts have recognized. My goal has always been to inform the public and promote government accountability.
On July 3, 2026, I was arrested within five seconds of interacting with a police officer as I was filming police during an arrest in a public place. If you haven't seen the video, I encourage you to watch it and decide for yourself what happened. This isn't my first time facing criminal charges related to my work. In 2024, I was convicted of misdemeanor obstruction in Las Vegas and spent four months in jail before that conviction was overturned on appeal. That experience taught me how important experienced legal representation can be and reinforced that defending constitutional rights often requires significant resources. It is exactly why I take this new case so seriously and why I don't want to face it without experienced counsel.
I've retained attorney Josh Tomsheck to represent me. Josh has successfully represented me before, and I believe having experienced counsel gives me the best opportunity to present my defense. If donations exceed the amount needed for my criminal defense, any additional funds will be used for legal expenses arising from this matter, including any civil rights litigation related to these events.
Over the years, many of you have supported my work, and together we've helped people caught up in the legal system by assisting with bail, legal expenses, and other emergency needs. I never expected to be the one asking for that same support. Whether you've followed my work for years or you're seeing my story for the first time, thank you for reading. Every donation, no matter the size, helps me defend this case and continue documenting matters of public concern and advocating for constitutional rights. If you're unable to donate, simply sharing this fundraiser is another meaningful way to help. Thank you for standing with me. We Don't Stop.
