I’m Matthew, and I’m starting this fundraiser for myself as I face serious health challenges and the outstanding medical bills that have come with treatment for cirrhosis. I have tried my best to overcome my personal addiction issues in order to improve my health, but I suffered in silence for too long and now I am dealing with the painful consequences of those choices. After being treated in the hospital, I am trying to keep moving forward, but recovery is going to be a long road. On top of the emotional and physical toll, I am also at risk of losing my employment because of the time my health has taken away from work.

The support I receive will help me pay for ongoing treatments, cover lost wages, and continue rehabilitation as I work to rebuild my health and my life. These are not one-time expenses for me right now. My care and recovery will continue over time, and steady support would help me keep up with treatment, stay on track in rehabilitation, and manage basic living costs while I am unable to work consistently.
